Friction
Hung up on your convictions
Dependant on "psychic" predictions
Seeking release form the friction in our lives
Believing the lies that they tell us
Buying the ads that they sell us
Wanting to get away from the friction in our lives
Seeking answers all around us
When we should seek above us
Only He can get us away from the friction in our lives
Find Him-Know Him-Love Him
Only He can get us away from the friction in our lives

Home
There is a place where the pain will cease
No tears, anguish, pain or disease
He is preparing it now as I write this poem
Then when it's time, I will hear "My child come home."
I'll answer the call and be on my way
No doubt in my mind, no haste, no delay
I long for that moment to be in that place
where I see my Savior, my Lord, face to face

My Psalm
Fill my heart with kindness Lord,
Let it overflow with cheer,
Help me eliminate moments in life,
Where there may be some fear.
Cause me to perform many simple deeds,
And let each aftermath be profound,
So the Light of your Eternal Love,
In lost souls can be found.
Teach me how to pray Dear Lord,
And hear what I might say.
Allow me to honor and glorify You,
In a thankful yet humble way.
Inspire me to appreciate
Each flower, plant or tree,
Whole beauty is another lesson in
True Peace and Tranquility.
Guide me as I tread upon,
Each pathway strewn with love,
Let my soul illuminate blessings
Which I receive from You above.
When my life on earth is over,
Let me bow before Thy throne,
And judge me for each act of love,
That I have truly shown.

Perseverance
Perseverance can be tough
Sometimes I think "OK enough"
Then You say run the race
Look to Me, see my face
Don't give up, do not quit
Cry a little, have a fit
Keep on doing the next right thing
Great gifts to you I will bring
Trust that I know all you need
Persevere and you will succeed
Success beyond what you could dream
Things are not always as they seem
Nothing in My world happens by chance
Look beyond the circumstance
You are right where you belong
Trust in Me, you can't go wrong
Fix your eyes, and you will see
It is the way it's supposed to be
All things happen as they should
All things work together for Good.

This poem is dedicated
to Becky and the memory of her dear friend.
The Stained Glass Window
There's a huge hole in
my chest and I can't breathe;
I've known for three days now and still can't believe.
Each time I try to swallow this lump in my throat,
It seems to get bigger and I think I will choke.
How many diamond shapes are in the
stained glass window?
How many colors are there? I really need to know.
I've counted all the pews and the hymnals at their backs.
Their gold embossing's faded and the bindings are cracked.
Breathe in slowly while counting to ten.
Breathe out slowly while counting again.
Concentrate on the window while breathing in and out.
I still can't believe what this is all about.
What is he saying? I can't make out the words.
There are wails and sobs inside me, waiting to be heard.
Beneath the stained glass window is the casket of my friend.
We're burying her today, but is this really the end?
The Lord has promised a mansion to every one of us.
I know that He will keep His word for He is fair and just.
My best friend is in Heaven now; she had to go too soon.
But Jesus has given her free reign to decorate my room.
She knows my likes and dislikes; we have the same tastes.
We'll be together again in Heaven one day Thanks to Jesus' precious grace.

Cancer is so limited . . .
It cannot cripple love.
It cannot shatter hope.
It cannot corrode faith.
It cannot eat away peace.
It cannot destroy confidence.
It cannot kill friendship.
It cannot shut out memories.
It cannot silence courage.
It cannot invade the soul.
It cannot reduce eternal life.
It cannot quench the Spirit.
It cannot lessen the power of the resurrection.
